I surrendered to God's love in my early teens and received His amazing gift of eternal life. I married the most beautiful woman in the world, Patricia Gardner, in 1987, and we have two wonderful children.

In 1988, God called me into the pastoral ministry and we have experienced His blessing ever since. In October 2008, God called me to serve Him at College Heights, we joined this loving church family and have seen Him grow us and them!

God is calling us to reach people in our community with His offer of forgiveness and life. What we have is not ours but His, and we are learning to use those things to love people while loving and serving God.

We would love to have you and your family join us as we journey through life together!

I surrendered to God's call to the ministry at the age of 18 yrs old. I attended East Central University to pursue music education. During college I served as interim Music Minister and sang in several churches in eastern Oklahoma (Banner Association). Also, during college I served as interim Music Minister in my home town church (Fletcher FBC). I went on to have a career in sales and marketing all the while missing my first calling. Later I served as bi-vocational Music Minister for 3 years and then 17 years as musician in a praise band. God has been so wonderful and forgiving, He truly is our Redeemer and Restorer.  Now being given the opportunity to serve College Heights Baptist as full time Worship Pastor is an unmeasurable Blessing. I look forward each week to leading our church family to the throne of worship, God is seeking His children to worship (John 4:23-24). Come join us.

At 12 years of age, I made the best decision of my life  by accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I grew up in a Christian home as a pastor's kid where I knew all the Bible stories, but I still had to come to the point in my life where I realized I needed a Savior. I could not get to Heaven by knowing the Bible (though that is great), but only by my personal relationship with Christ!
After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2016, I served on the coaching staff at NEO A&M Junior College in Miami, Okla. Following the football season that year, I began my ministerial journey in February 2017 til December 2018, as youth/music leader at First Baptist Church in Maysville, Okla. While serving at the church in Maysville for that year and a half, I had the opportunity to substitute teach at the high school and serve as lay coach for the Maysville Warriors, and also worked at Winans Funeral home there in town.
I love the verse in scripture Romans 1:16 which states: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." In the world today, Christians cannot afford to be ashamed of Jesus. We must share the gospel with everyone, just like this verse commands us to do. My prayer is the youth at College Heights will not be ashamed of the gospel, but be bold in their walk with Christ and to tell their peers about Jesus.
